Wiebke Schnapper

I was born in Bremen in 2000 and studied Moving Image at AKI, ArtEZ Academy of the Arts in Enschede, the Netherlands, where I specialized in video art. I completed my bachelor’s degree with the interactive video installation Like the Flow of Water.

My passion for the performing arts brought me to the theatre in 2025. At Deutsches Theater Göttingen, I contributed to the productions Rose Royal, Nebenan, and Die Wildente. This was followed by Igraine Ohnefurcht at Saarländisches Staatstheater, Die Insel at HLTM Marburg, Falstaff at Staatstheater Mainz and a video internship at Schaubühne Berlin for the production Bluets.

I like to involve my love for Juggling and Circus into my audiovisual works. I spend 10 years training, performing and teaching at a youth circus which makes both the activity and the people a big part of my life. Therefore the artistic skills find a way into my art and I make use of my friends and network in the circusfield to collaborate for circus related video making.
