Like the Flow of Water

Can we bend the clock towards our bodies?
What if you were to leave behind the rigid conception of time and enter a state in which the flow of time follows the flow of water? Inspired by the concept of Crip Time, an idea from disability studies, the installation ‘like the flow of water’ explores the non-linearity of time as perceived by different bodies with individual limits and capacities.

She Deserves my Tears

‘Don’t cry’, ‘I can’t hold back my tears’, ‘crying like a child’. Crying is seen as weakness. As something we try to hold back, and if ever we do in our rooms, when we are alone and nobody sees us. Emotions can come with a lot of shame. You are not expected to cry in public, until you enter a funeral and then the expectations switch.
‘She deserves my tears’ is an audiovisual Installation about crying and about not being able to cry, when it is expected of you. It is an invitation to take a moment for yourself listen to poetic thoughts and listen to your own feelings. To embrace all feelings and the ways they come in.

Immerath

In January 2018 the ‘Immerather Dom’ was destructed in order to expend the Garzweiler surface mine for brown coal. The demolition of the church stands representative for a whole village losing their home and existence.

With the performance piece „Immerath“, I strive to draw attention to the consequences of industries that harm the climate. Through a performative theatrical approach, I presents a narrative of endangered homes and fading hope in a raw and unfiltered manner.
